Very warm and comfy Dec 31, 2008
By PoLoverLorna I wanted some warm boots that had more support and style then Ugg boots (which I detest). These are very comfy and have good support. I can take these hiking or to the mountains after a day of snowboarding. It has enough fur trim to be cute, but not too much to be obnoxious. They only thing is that the sizes run big. I am a 6.5, but they are a 1/2 size too big. I would recommend ordering a 1/2 size down.

SO warm Feb 27, 2009

I bought these boots to wear when I go snowshoeing, but ended up wearing them all winter. They're incredibly warm without suffocating my feet, and kept me dry even in the rain/snow mix. The lining is soft, the outside is sturdy, and the traction was a god sent walking through the icy parking lot into work every day. The tongue doesn't separate so the ankle support is great, and I can leave the laces untied for easy slip-on/slip-off convenience. Totally worth the money, I'm glad I made the investment. I wore them all winter and there is zero wear on them, I know they'll last me for years of use.

Great boots at a great price! Jan 20, 2009
By Ruthie I looked for several weeks online and in stores for a nice insulated waterproof boot, and wasn't satisfied with anything until I found these. They were affordable, not too bulky, and cute (in my opinion!) I wasn't sure what size to order b/c I figured I would be wearing thick, bulky socks, but I took a chance and just ordered my normal size(8.5). They fit perfectly, are really comfortable, and my feet are definitely the warmest part on my body while I'm taking my dogs on winter walks in sub-freezing temps.

The perfect winter boot? Oct 04, 2010
By Sara B. I did a lot of research before choosing the St. Moritz as my new winter boot. We live in upstate NY and any boot of mine needs to be able to put up with some serious lake effect snow and slush without getting soggy, keep my foot warm, and not look too clunky while it does it. I tried on some pairs from Lands End and considered several Columbia and Sorel styles, but the St. Moritz won out based on price and reviews, so I ordered a pair in Cream/Brown for the impending freeze. I wear a 7.5-8 and have a wider foot, and the size 8 fits me perfect with room enough for thick socks, but as others have remarked, the inside of these boots is so warm and plush that thick socks aren't necessary. Some people have complained about difficultly putting these on and yes, these are not a pair of slippers; I have to sit down to pull them on. A few extra seconds to get them on and adjusted doesn't bother me though, they are so cozy and seem well sealed against the elements. Once on, they are remarkably light for a snow boot and I think they'll be great for a day chasing my kids around in the snow or climbing a sledding hill. They are one of Amazon's best selling snow boots for a reason. All my first impressions are positive, and I'll be sure to update my review after putting them through some cold and soggy paces in a month or two.
Hi-Tec has absolutely one of the best customer service departments I've ever dealt with. I was glad to be able to get these Hi-Tec boots from Amazon without a hitch, but I initially ordered these boots from a major online retailer of shoes other than Amazon, and that pair was lost by UPS after being drop shipped by Hi-Tec. After nearly 2 months and 8 phone calls to the retailer and UPS who both claimed they were waiting on paperwork to go through, I decided to try and contact Hi-Tec directly. A customer service rep found my order, did the legwork of contacting both the retailer and UPS, and called me back within an hour or two to assure me my refund would finally be happening within a few days. Wow! I am happy to be wearing a boot from a company who treats customers like that, even though they were not the ones at fault.
12/7/10 EDIT: We now have at least a foot and a half of snow on the ground and I still love these boots. They've kept me toasty through several hour-long shoveling sessions...my feet didn't even know they were outside. Highly recommended!

exactly what I wanted Jan 17, 2010

I searched the internet for 3 weeks before deciding on the St. Moritz. I live in northern MI, so warm feet are important! These boots are toasty warm and cushy comfortable. There is good arch support and plenty of room for my toes. The boots have great ankle support and good traction. The furry cuff keeps deep snow from creeping in. The size is right on. I wear a true 8 and there is enough room for thick socks, but just as comfortable with regular socks. I highly recommend this boot. And they're CUTE!
