Great product! Jan 09, 2009
By Annette I am a long time user of the 180 degree and, though I love them, I found it hard to keep up with them. . . no easy way to carry them in your pocket or purse. These are so flat and small, they fit nicely in your pocket or purse. They are snuggly warm, block the wind. I really like these! When I wear earrings I only clip them over the top part of my ear and they work equally well. *Tip* I found the manufacturer tags on the inside to be cold so I took them out. I highly recommend this product.

Can't live without them! Nov 15, 2009
By Gryffindor Girl I absolutely love the ear mitts. I had the old school earmuffs, which do keep your ears warm, but are also bulky, hard to carry around, and that plastic head piece gives me a headache. I tried the 180 degrees earmuffs which go across the back of your head - better, but still gave me a headache. Then, I happened across these last year on the internet and was very intrigued. I ordered a pair and am quite thrilled that I did.
They are SUPER compact and fit nicely into a tiny little portion of my purse, so I carry them with me all winter long. They are very easy to get on and off, and they clip on securely (which I was afraid might not be the case when purchasing). They are very discreet and comfortable to wear, and they don't mess up your hair at all. You can wear your earrings with them, and either tuck them in to the ear mitt if not too bulky, or just let them dangle out (they'll be pushed towards your head a bit but it doesn't bother me). My favorite use for them is snowboarding - I absolutely can't stand the cold wind on my ears (gives me huge headache), but my old earmuffs would also give me a headache. Now, I wear these and pull my beanie over them (it covers the top portion of the ear mitts but the bottom half is exposed). They are amazing. My ears are quite cozy the entire day, with no pinching or headaches, and I've had no problems with them getting loose or disappearing.
I've been showing my friends and family and all seem impressed - I'm thinking it could be a great Christmas gift! My daughter wants her own pair too (she's ten and loves mine).

Works Great! Maybe not for all Occasions Dec 02, 2010
By John O. Willis

Last winter I'd wear a stocking cap on my runs to keep my ears warm but then my head would get sweaty so I'd take it off and then my ears would get cold etc. For this winter I wanted something like those behind the head ear-muffs to keep my head warm while allowing the sweat on my forehead to dissipate in the cold. On Amazon of course I saw these and got them instead. I purchased the grey ones and they look really good/neutral.
When I first opened them I was a little disappointed cause they wouldn't stay on my ears while first trying them out. Turns out that there's instructions for that and they "clip" on to the back and mostly the top of your ear, no ear lobe required, (I have an ear lobe though). There are sort of two halves to it. A soft fleece outer half and a hard plastic inner half with a half-moon hole in it, also covered with some fleece for comfort. There has been some fairly strong breezes while running but surprisingly they haven't been blown off my head, which I was worried about. Hearing isn't impaired at all wearing these. I've gone running in mid-30's to low 50 degree weather with these and they kept my ears from getting cold. Anything cooler than the 10's and these alone, w/o more headgear and you're ears may get cold but I'm not sure. After wearing them for more than an hour your ears feel fine until you take them off and then I notice my ear top may be a bit sore but it's goes away quickly. I haven't worn them for more than 2 hours.
I probably would recommend these only for light winter duty (running, walking, hanging out) vs heavy duty (construction work, skiing, sledding) cause they may fall off and get lost without having some sort of hat or head-band over them to keep them on.

Bandless ear muffs Feb 07, 2010
By Robert Simanski I like these ear muffs very much. I had Ear Pops in the past, but they did not have any insulation so the wind could blow through the thin material when biking at 20 MPH and chill my ears. These new ones have a protective layer at the center and keep my ears warm even when biking at 25 degrees Fahrenheit.
