Stylish alternative to dorky ear-muffs Dec 03, 2008
By Cecily Cardew What I really love about these ear-mitts is that they are camouflaged so easily. I usually look like a dweeb when I wear regular ear-muffs but these are soo well hidden and stylish (if you wear your hair loose...plus I have dark hair) They pinch slightly after wearing them for a while, sort of in the way iPod earphones start pinching. I have reaaally small ears so it may be worse if you have larger ears (I bought the regular size). They definitely aren't as toasty warm as other bulkier ear muffs, but they do the job (great for fall, but I doubt I'll be able to use these in the middle of winter) The fact that they are SO convenient to carry around and use (just keep them in your purse) helps compensate. All in all, these are a decent buy but don't count on these to be your primary source of ear protection during winter. Oh, and the company that ships them is sooo great...they sent them really fast and added a personalized hand-written note with the receipt thanking me for my purchase...who does that nowadays! :-D

Agreed Dec 07, 2009
By Gee Me These are warm enough up to a point, but when it gets too cold, I wear a hat that goes over my ears, in addition to the ear mitts. Note that "too cold" is in the teens or below, so they work well down to about 20F.

Best invention since sliced bagels! Jan 17, 2011

"Go Pack Go"
They snap on. They are comfortable. They stay on. They keep you warm. That is what they are supposed to do and they do it well. Every set I have given as gifts has been a hit.

Absolutely great! Mar 11, 2011

"Filmmaker - "The Baroness of New Orleans""
You'd think living in New Orleans we wouldn't need such things, but this winter was bone-shatteringly cold (for us anyway... you folks in the north can stop chuckling now.) My partner has short hair and hates hats so her ears were freezing off. I ordered these for her and she absolutely loved them. They actually "snap" onto your ears and stay tight to your head so your ears are perfectly protected against cold and wind. Everywhere she went people wanted to know where she got them and how they stayed on (you don't see a lot of earmuffs in New Orleans so these are a curiosity for people.) If it's cold again next year, I'm going to get a pair, too.

Love this product Dec 26, 2010
By SMR Very convenient and easy to put on and it actually does a good job of protecting your ears in cold temperatures with high winds (it gets pretty brutal in the Northeast, and I've used mine for two seasons). The only caveat I'd make is that the large is actually pretty large. I think the small would fit most people.
